Each year, BC School Sports is proud to work with industry partners and cycling-enthusiastic teachers to host and run the High-School Provincial Mountain Bike Championships in late May. This event is designed to provide a venue for all levels of riders, from those that are new to the sport to those who have been riding for years, so that they may build confidence and experience the joy of competing as a team. Over the weekend, participants race in both a cross-country and an enduro race, providing a chance for both “uphill” and “downhill” riders to contribute to their team’s points tally.
Teachers interested in creating a mountain bike team and/or attending the provincial championships can contact the Mtn. Bike commissioner at BC School Sports, Nicole Jean at 604-694-6318.
